A fun little card. As soon as you open the card it springs into life; rocking and cackling away! It's quite amusing and does eventually stop after around 30 seconds to write a message but just close and reopen to start it again! The cardstock is good quality and a nice thickness, and it comes with a good quality envelope. There is no specific greeting on the inside of the card, so it's suitable for Birthdays, Mothers day, any other occasion etc. It's maybe a little bit pricey at £9, but it is a fun little card and even basic cards aren't cheap anymore. I just hope my mum finds it as funny as everybody else will!
Got this as a silly birthday card and it delivered. The motion and sound gave her a proper jump followed by a big laugh. Its cheeky, loud, and definitely memorable. Would get again for a laugh.
I'm never quite sure if these cards are worth it. It's a LOT of money for a greetings card, and cards are rarely the focus of a birthday celebration. You may get a chuckle, at best you get a laugh from a card like this, and then it's forgotten. Oh well. This one came along at just the right time as it's my wife's birthday this weekend so I got this for my daughters to write for her (and they think it's hilarious). As soon as you open it wide enough, the cackling sound begins, so writing it will be fun. If it's supposed to be funny, I don't get at all. And that's about it. As you can see the price going in, you know what you're paying and what you're getting.
This is brilliant, but definitely for a mum with a bit of sass and a sense of humour. When you open the card the old lady rocks back and forward on her chair and cackles madly, I can't say I've ever seen anything quite like it. I can't wait to see the reaction of me old mum when she opens it.
